Staying safe

Habits that keep you out of the worst launches.

• Check the deployer first. A wallet with many launches and no graduations is the most common pattern behind fast rugs.
• Look at the first 5 seconds. A large share bought tax-free means the creator's friends got in before you.
• Watch concentration. Top 10 holders above 40%, or a deployer holding a big bag, means a few wallets can crash the price.
• Mind creator tax. Above 2% eats into every trade, both ways.
• Beware copies. The same ticker launched several times usually means someone is riding another token's name.
• Only trade what you can lose. Most new tokens go to zero.

Protect your wallet

• Pilotlight will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is a scammer.
• Check the address bar before connecting your wallet.
• Use a separate wallet for trading new launches, holding only what you plan to trade.
